Bedford Film Festival was set up to increase film variety for film lovers in Bedford with our own festival and by encouraging others to host their own screenings.

While we have evolved to deliver so much more than that our mission to make Bedford a destination for film fans, young and old, remains.

 

Since our first screening as part of Bedfringe 2013, we have wanted to establish our own ‘fringe’ element to Bedford Film Festival’s annual event. We have been gradually testing this since our launch by collaborating with other local organisations to screen individual films throughout the year, and by hosting carefully selected warm-up screenings before our main festival.

The success of these screenings has shown us that Bedford venues of any style could benefit greatly from being part of the wider Bedford Film Festival network.

Our ‘Fringe Screenings’ will give venues a chance to screen those films they’ve always wanted to. So long as the licence is available, and it is appropriate to Bedford Film Festival’s brand, you will have complete control over your screening.

You won’t be alone though. Bedford Film Festival will guide you through licencing, equipment hire, and of course promoting your event to a ready-made film-loving audience of thousands, across traditional and modern marketing channels.

All fringe packages come with the resources of the Bedford Film Festival team in providing the following as standard:

• Film choice advice
• Licence application advice and support
• Event management guidance
• Equipment acquisition support
• Support sourcing volunteers
• Use of exclusive Bedford Film Festival Fringe Screening logo
