40 years ago, Alan Parker’s ‘Bugsy Malone’ delighted audiences young and old with its heart-warming take on an American gangster story. The use of young actors and a musical score, as well as custard pies instead of bullets, inspired the imagination of many.
To celebrate 40 years since the release of Bugsy Malone, and to launch this year’s Bedford Film Festival, brought to you in partnership with Sprint Convergence Ltd, The Quarry Theatre is hosting a special exhibition of behind the scenes photos from the filming of Bugsy Malone, as well as a collection of drawing detailing the story board of the shots that later appeared on screen. This fascinating exhibition gives us a glimpse into a world rarely seen, detailing the fun and excitement on set from a film that remains in the hearts of generations of film fans.
